1. How do I contact the Elections Office?

You can call, email, or stop by the Elections Office. Our hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can call us at 530-265-1298 or email us at elections.mail@co.nevada.ca.us. Our office is located at 950 Maidu Avenue, Suite 210, Nevada City. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we require anyone needing in person services to make an appointment.

2. What are the election fees?

4. Who is the Registrar of Voters?

Natalie Adona currently serves as the Nevada County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. You can learn more about her and her service online.

5. Do you have any videos about voting?

Yes. We have videos available online to help you understand the voting process.

6. What are the recall petition guidelines?

Our published guidelines (PDF) examine the law of recall only as it applies to state  and local officials. It is divided into separate parts to help avoid  confusion.

7. What are the Top-Two Open Primaries?

The Top-Two Open Primary Act is a newly established election process that was first used during the 2012 presidential election. Learn more about the act and how it has changed the election process.

8. How do I request a voter roll?

Anyone interested in getting voter rolls must complete an application and pay a fee. Countywide voter rolls are $50.00 and district-specific voter rolls are $37.00. For more information, please refer to our webpage about how to purchase voter rolls.
