Nevada County wants to collaborate with you! The County is championing Collaboration Day Friday, Sept. 8 at the Rood Center to share valuable resources that can benefit all.
The fair-type event is free and open to the public. It will feature more than 40 booths that will offer helpful information including advice on how to keep your property protected from wildfire, career opportunities, tips on how to enjoy the County’s beautiful recreation areas responsibly, information on community organizations and more.
This is a chance to meet County staff (like Rodney McClung from the Building Department pictured here) and ask questions on your pressing concerns. In attendance will be representatives from several departments, including Agriculture, Building, Cannabis, Economic Development, Environmental Health, Library, Public Works, and Recreation.
Short informational sessions will also be offered on hiking trails and Geographical Information System’s maps, transit services (including e-buses and contactless fares), real estate topics, building essentials, and fire protection.
Food trucks, face painting and balloons round out this fun activity.
The event runs 2-6pm at the Rood Center, 950 Maidu Ave.
