Nevada City Halloween Spooktacular!
Monday, October 31, 2022
Nevada County’s Eric Rood Center and downtown Nevada City businesses are thrilled to welcome trick-or-treaters of all ages on Halloween, Monday, October 31st, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for a fun, family-friendly Halloween event.
Find convenient parking at the Eric Rood Center, trick-or-treat throughout the County building, and then take the free Nevada County Connects shuttle to downtown Nevada City, where merchants will open their doors to trick-or-treaters. Shuttles will run between the Eric Rood Center and City Hall every 15 minutes until 7:00 pm.
“All ages are invited to roam the festive halls, go on a Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt, and gather tasty treats from each of our departments, where they’ll find a different world behind every door,” said Nevada County CEO Alison Lehman.
You’ll find special activities in both locations including face painting downtown and a scavenger hunt with prizes at the Eric Rood Center.
"We are all excited to bring back the Trick-or-Treat tradition to Nevada City. Working in partnership with Nevada County and the City of Nevada City, our downtown event will start after Grass Valley’s trick-or-treat, but early enough to keep things safe for younger kids,” said Nevada City Chamber Executive Director Stuart Baker.
East Broad Street will be closed to traffic at the Y (East Broad and Cottage Street) from 3:00 pm into the evening.
Thank you to our event sponsors, YubaNet, The Union, and Nevada County Connects, that are helping to make this the spookiest (and most convenient) trick-or-treating destination in town.
