The Land Management Plan is one of five phases of the Community Wildfire Protection Plan . It is specifically responsive to the CWPP requirement that the CWPP put forward best-management practices.
The Land Management Plan will consist of a toolbox of regionally-specific and technically vetted best-practices for wildfire mitigation treatments that can be deployed at multiple scales – from that of the individual landowner of 1 acre on up through the non-governmental organization or agency seeking to implement a project across thousands of acres.
As part of the Community Wildfire Protection Plan Update, the Land Management Plan is funded by the Community Wildfire Defense Grant (CWDG). OES will be releasing an RFP, identifying a qualified consultant, and bringing a recommendation to the Board for this work this fall.
