Americans with Disabilities Act Information

On July 26, 1990 the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law.

This legislation, together with the provisions of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability by public entities in the provision of services, programs and activities. In April of 2000, the County of Nevada Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 00190 pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act to ensure that access to services, programs and activities is provided to all persons.
