Visitation is by appointment only. Arrangements must be made with the incarcerated person you would like to visit. Jail staff will not schedule visits. Below are the current visitation requirements for in-person visits. Please contact the jail for current information. 530-265-1291.
Inmates may receive 1, 30-minute visit on their assigned visitation day. All visits are non-contact. The visitation lobby is open Tuesday through Friday.
- Morning: 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
- Afternoon: 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Evening: 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Visitation will be limited to 2 persons (1 adult and 1 child or 2 adults) per visit.
All visitors must be 18 years of age or older. Visiting minor children of an incarcerated parent must be accompanied by an adult. Underage children, not related to the incarcerated inmate, must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Visitors are responsible for their children and must keep them under control. Unruly children may be cause for termination of a visit. Young children shall not be left unattended in the jail lobby or the vehicle parking lot.
Appropriate attire is required. No cell phones or cameras are permitted in the visitation rooms. Visitors must provide their current government-issued ID at the time of check-in. There are no exceptions to this rule. No ID, no visit.
Each inmate will be allowed only 1, 30-minute visit per week. Inmates under quarantine will not be allowed to visit until their quarantine is complete and they have been cleared by medical staff.
All visitations must be scheduled. “Drop-in” visits will not be allowed. Inmates will be responsible for scheduling visits with their family and friends. All visits must start on-time. Any late visitors will be refused.
A mask, face-covering, or face shield will be mandatory for visitors and the inmate you are visiting. Violation of this requirement will result in the termination of the visit. All visitors will be required to have their temperature checked.
A sanitation station and sanitation wipes will be available in the lobby for visitors to use.
Visitation rooms will be cleaned after each visit by the Lobby clerk/officer.
Visitation rooms are rotated in groups to allow for social distancing and to give the rooms time to “air out” after cleaning in-between visits.
- Tuesday: A section and N section group 1
- Wednesday: Medical, D section, E section, F section, N section groups 1 and 2
- Thursday: C section, N section group 1
- Friday will be left open for a “make-up” day, N section group 1
(Please Note: Only 1 visitation “spot” will be open for males in N section each 30-minutes for social distancing purposes)
Each visiting group will enter and exit at the same time. Visitors who ignore the Lobby clerk/Officer’s directive to exit may result in the inmate losing visitation privileges the following week.
Visitation may be suspended in the event of an emergency or full facility lockdown.
Types of Visits
New visitors must complete a Public Visitors Request (PDF) located in the visitation lobby. Personal visits are subject to being recorded and/or monitored.
Professional visitors (such as attorneys and doctors) need to complete the Professional Visitor's Request Form (PDF) located in the visitation lobby. Professional visits are unlimited. Attorney/client visitation is not limited to specific times or subject to being recorded or monitored.
Video visits are available 7 days a week, during the incarcerated person's out-of-cell time. An account is required through gettingout.com. Visits must be arranged by the incarcerated person.
