CAG Community Process
About the CAG
The cannabis regulation Community Advisory Group (CAG) was formed by the Board of Supervisors to advise the Board on the development of a permanent cannabis ordinance for Nevada County. The inclusive process took the input of all community stakeholders through public comments submitted to the CAG via email and during the meetings.
Nevada County contracted with MIG to be the consultant and facilitator for the process. MIG worked to create a fair and equitable process while the CAG worked to draft recommendations for a new cannabis ordinance.
MIG worked to:
- Ensure that the Advisory Group is formed in an inclusive and participatory way
- Facilitate the formation of the group
- Facilitate and document the groups work
- Serve as a liaison between the:
- Advisory group
- Board subcommittee
- County departments
- Public
